I am a general practitioner by training and vocation. I began my career treating patients in the public health system, where I learned the value of empathy, active listening, and integrative medicine. Over time, and driven by the desire to provide more and better health opportunities in an area of high need, I decided to take a brave step: to found my own clinic. This is how Vargas Medical Center was born, in Uvita, a project that combines quality medical care with a humane, accessible and sustainable vision. Today, in addition to continuing to practice with passion as a general practitioner, I play an administrative and strategic leadership role. I discovered along the way that I am also passionate about creating, building teams, innovating and developing solutions that improve access to health. Founding my clinic revealed a new facet to me: a love for entrepreneurship and management. Running a purpose-driven health company has allowed me to grow not only as a professional, but also as a woman, leader, and dreamer.
