Do I need an account to use Well Fred?
Yes. You can browse some listings without logging in, but you'll need an account to message, book, or review providers.
Can I be both a user and a provider?
Absolutely. Many people on Well Fred offer services and book others' services. You can easily switch between "User" and "Provider" mode from your dashboard.
How do I create a provider profile?
After signing up, select "Become a Provider" and follow the simple step-by-step setup. You'll add your business info, photos, credentials (if applicable), and the services you offer.
Can I update my profile later?
Yes. You can edit your information, pricing, hours, or photos anytime in your Provider Dashboard.
How do bookings work?
When you click Book Now, a direct chat opens between you and the provider. You can confirm details (time, date, price) in that conversation. Once both sides confirm, the booking appears automatically in your calendars.
Is payment handled through the platform?
Not yet. For now, payments are arranged directly between users and providers. In the future, we'll introduce an integrated payment system — possibly including Bitcoin.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, cancellations must happen through the platform. Please give as much notice as possible to respect everyone's time.
What happens if someone doesn't show up?
If there's a no-show or late cancellation, contact [email protected]. We'll review the situation case-by-case and help you find a fair solution.
Why are reviews required?
Reviews keep the community transparent and fair. After a first-time booking with someone, both parties must leave a review within seven days.
What happens if I don't leave a review?
If you don't complete your required review within seven days, your booking privileges will be temporarily suspended until you do.
Can I edit or delete a review?
You can update a review only within a short time window after posting. Reviews may be removed only if they violate our Community Guidelines.
What do the Fred Ratings mean?
The Fred Rating reflects reliability, professionalism, and community feedback. A score of 75 means "good and dependable." Scores above 90 indicate someone who consistently goes above and beyond.
Does Well Fred offer refunds?
Not automatically. Refunds are handled directly between users and providers. If a disagreement occurs, contact us and we'll help mediate.
Why do cancellations have to happen on the platform?
To keep everything transparent. Off-platform cancellations make it impossible for us to track fairness and help if something goes wrong.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. We take privacy seriously. Your data is stored securely and never sold. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can other users see my full contact details?
No. Communication happens through the platform to protect your privacy. You choose what personal information you share.
How does Well Fred handle inappropriate behavior?
We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, explicit content, or illegal activity. Offenders may be suspended or permanently removed.
Can I use Bitcoin to pay or get paid?
Not yet, but soon! Providers will be able to accept Bitcoin directly through integrated wallets. You'll be able to enable or disable this option anytime.

I forgot my password — what do I do?
Click "Forgot Password?" on the login page. You'll receive an email to reset it.
